Bring your donors
closer to home
Catherine Marquis has been an attorney for 30 years and a fundraising professional more than 15 years.
Catherine served as a director of planned giving over 15 years, most recently with the Catholic Church Extension Society. Her work experience extends to all aspects of planned gift development, from meeting with donors to marketing gift opportunities, and processing realized planned gifts. Her professional success, along with her service on several volunteer boards, has given Catherine an intimate familiarity with the challenges small and mid-sized charities face as they raise funds to support their mission. She knows it's a tough call to allocate development dollars for future gifts, but also knows the rewards are great. That knowledge is why Catherine has chosen to dedicate her career to helping nonprofits of all sizes raise planned gifts, bestowing both charity and donor with the benefits of this transformational form of giving.
Catherine backs up her career in planned giving with 15 prior years as an attorney practicing in the area of wills, estates and trusts. During this period she gained unique insight into the needs and concerns of individuals who want to create a legacy. Catherine understands that people who support your mission may be ready, willing and able to use their estates—regardless of how large or small they might be—to make a statement about their lives and the values they hold dear. She knows the type of questions they ask and answers that reassure them they are making a financially sound and personally meaningful decision with this important part of their lives.
